Stanislav A. Gridnev, was born in January 28, 1938. Doctor of physics and mathematics, Professor, Head of the Ferroelectrisity Laboratory, Voronezh State Technical University.

There were 18 post-graduate students who have defended their PhD theseses under the guidance by Gridnev. The Honoured Scientist of the Russian Federation.
A member of the Scientific council on ferroelectric and dielectric physics of Russian Academy of Sciences.

The field of scientific interests: ferroelectrics, ferroelastics, relaxors,
dipolar glasses, superionics, HT-superconductors, relaxation effects.
He is the author more than 300 papers, 21 Russian patents.

He participated at 138 conferences on ferroelectrics and ferroelastics physics and their applications. He was as a chairman of 10 conferences Particularly, the 3(8) International Seminar on Ferroelastics Physics was held in September 11-14, 2000, in Voronezh, Russia.
